Gogo’s work:
My paintings are the result of images that come to my mind and project themselves in front of my eyes. Everything begins with color, and takes form through experimentation; this provokes in me an effect of freedom that allows for the paints to flow and go to unexpected and undetermined paths.
“Esencias” reflects my liking of free, unattached strokes, soaked with rebelliousness or spontaneity, without turning into a fortuitous act.
The essence of my work is the freedom of my imagination, which is the beginning, the passage to a constant flow.
Claudia’s work:
For “Esencias”, my work evolves from abstract photographs to abstracts of the same. All of my abstract photographs are taken with paintings in mind, which now come together through colors and shapes not found or barely seen in those images. I present their essence, as I interpret it through basic forms and colors that I feel reflect those passed moments. This process gives me the freedom to play and detach myself from the colors, forms, and compositions found in reality.
